Sustainability & Environment

Waste
All site users are encouraged to reduce waste generated onsite.
Recycling facilities are available at the circuit. Please ensure that the bins are used correctly so that Silverstone Circuit can recycle efficiently at the circuit.
Any site users or contractors wishing to use the compactor area will need to obtain authorisation from the Silverstone Circuit venue management as any unauthorised tipping could lead to fines.
Spills
Any accident which causes the contamination of soil and/or water at Silverstone Circuit MUST be immediately reported and rectified in accordance with the Environment Protection Act (1990).
Spills MUST be reported to the Silverstone Circuit Venue Team via radio, telephone, or Event Control when operational.
Transport and Accessibility
We encourage the use of public transport and transportation sharing to minimise the environmental impact of site users and reduce traffic congestion and emissions.
Continuous Improvement
Silverstone Circuit are committed to continual improvement and enhancement of our environmental performance. As part of this, we regularly review and update our environmental management system.

Incident and Accident Reporting

All accidents and near misses MUST be reported via the Silverstone Circuit Halo Incident Reporting System.
For those that do not have access, accidents and near misses should be reported immediately to your Silverstone Circuit Team contact. Information required should include:
- Type of accident
- Names and contact details of those involved.
- Witness information.
- Photographs of incident and/or scene.
- Medical assistance, if required.
- Any further investigation conducted or required.
It is important that Silverstone Circuit are aware of any accidents and near misses that occur on the site so that records can be made and any preventative measures can be implemented to prevent from recurrence.

Site Access

- Silverstone Circuit is a large site, often with several activities operating at the same time.
- Access is restricted. You’ll need appropriate accreditation to enter the site. Please ensure your accreditation lead or Silverstone Circuit contact has applied for the appropriate pass prior to accessing the venue.
- You should follow site instructions on where to park your vehicles including areas for unloading and loading. Do not abandon your vehicle without checking first.
- Please do not remove any barriers or hazard tape unless authorised to do so by the Silverstone Circuit team.
